Bullmastiffs have a square muzzle and a broad chest. The long strong legs carry a well-shaped muscled body. Skin on the face forms shallow wrinkles. Ears are small and v-shaped.
Coat: Short and smooth, brindle, red, or fawn in color. The muzzle and ears are generally darker.
Height: 24-27 inches
Weight: 100-130 pounds
Life Expectancy: 8-10 years

The dog is devoted and develops strong attachments to a family. It is suspicious towards strangers and tends to guard everything it considers to be its property. Compatibility with other pets is moderate. During training sessions, Bullmastiffs can be a bully.
Bullmastiffs are fast and active dogs. They inherited these qualities from Bulldogs. They are large and heavy like Mastiffs. In other words, they got the best features of these two dog breeds. Bullmastiffs are very agile, energetic, earnest, alert and extremely courageous. They show great endurance and stamina. However, Bullmastiffs are known to be loyal toward their family and gentle and eager playmates for children. Bullmastiffs have somewhat dominant personality. Therefore, these dogs require early, firm and fair training.
Those who think Bullmastiffs can make good housedogs are mistaken. Bullmastiffs need plenty of space and exercise to be healthy and fit. They usually make quiet and reliable guardians. Bullmastiffs need active and interested owners.
