Bull Mastiff Sale

Prior to visiting a Bull Mastiff sale, you have to make sure this breed is right for you. Only profound knowledge on the breed can help with making the right choice. It’s not enough to see a Bull Mastiff in a dog show or at the neighborhood and fall in love with the breed. A responsible owner should be informed about the origin of the breed, its main functions, talents, personality, trainability, exercise needs, and typical health problems.

In a Bull Mastiff sale, beware of profit-oriented backyard breeders. They may sell their dogs for a lower price, but the quality of such dogs is dubious. With profit-oriented breeders you have no health and temperament guarantee and cannot rely on the dog as a trustworthy family companion. Only devoted breeders produce quality dogs able not only to protect the family and guard the house, but to tell a friend from a foe.

Bull Mastiffs get really big. Males stand around 25-27 inches at the withers, and females are 24-26 inches at the withers. The weight of the Bull Mastiff varies from 90 to 130 pounds. The largest Bull Mastiff reported weighed over 170 pounds and was 29 inches at the withers. Though too large dogs are disqualified by the breed standard, some breeders produce large dogs as guards and family pets. Usually, there are various types of dogs in a Bull Mastiff sale. All responsible breeders strive to perfection and plan each litter carefully to improve the breed. Don’t trust a breeder who produces only pet quality dogs.

Bull Mastiffs are not the easiest dogs to own. They need enough room and cannot be kept in an apartment. Don’t get a dog of this breed if you don’t have a yard and cannot take the dog for a walk daily. Bull Mastiffs need quality food. An average Bull Mastiff eats about 40-60 pounds of dry dog food per month. Professional obedience training is a must for any Bull Mastiff. A large and strong dog like the Bull Mastiff should be obedient, well-socialized, and ready to serve the master. In a Bull Mastiff sale, you can buy only a potential, but not a well-behaved and healthy dog.
